Whistler Blackcomb to open early

Whistler Blackcomb announced today that they are opening Whistler ahead of schedule on Wednesday November 26th. 

The following lifts will be open for skiers and riders on Whistler on Wednesday:
Emerald Express
Big Red Express
Franz’s Chair

Full operations begin on Thursday with the opening of the Creekside Gondola and Blackcomb Mountain 

Access to Blackcomb will be via the Wizard Chair and Excalibur Gondola with the following lifts open
Solar Coaster Express
Jersey Cream Express
Catskinner Express

Cornucopia

Whistler’s food and wine festival kicked off last night with the popular event ARTragous held at Dusty’s in Creekside.

Back for it’s 13th year and the original Cornucopia event ARTragous is a celebration of all things creative with inter-active art’s, body painting, photography and dance.

It’s snowing!

Whistler village has started to receive it’s first snowfalls of the season!

Up on the peaks the mountains have been blanketed with over 40cm of snow this week.

Scheduled to open November 27, 2008 everyone is looking forward to another great season.
